A good pair of cased WW1 binoculars and a WW1 marching compass, also cased.
The binoculars have leather wrapped barrels and are marked 'L. Petit Fab' Paris' and '4 1/2X' and in good working order, they have a neck strap (not currently attached) and come in a robust military case with shoulder strap, the case is marked 'J. Cripps 1917' and 'H*' which was a proof mark. Lemaire–Petit supplied binoculars under contract tom the British army during the first world war.
The marching compass also comes in it's leather case, housed in a black painted brass case, most of the black paint having worn away, it has a range finder and graduations to the internal and external dials as well as the outside of the casing. The compass is in good working order and with no cracks or repairs to either of the glass screens.
