Inside the chest you’ll find a mix of antique and vintage religious and devotional items, arranged to suggest the tools of a determined vampire hunter or exorcist. These include a crucifix‑topped 19th century Bible, further crucifixes, a wooden mallet and stakes, metal chalices, glass vials, candlesticks and other pieces, displayed on a padded red cushion (cushion missing one bead and another loose) to complete the tableau.
This is not presented as an original historical “vampire kit”, but as an imaginative curiosity created from genuine period and later components. The contrast of the sombre black exterior, jewelled lock plate and red‑lined interior gives great Gothic presence, and the contents can be arranged in various ways to suit your display or photographic needs.
