This distinctive “OTO” ear syringe is a classic piece of mid‑20th‑century ENT equipment, designed for irrigating the ear to remove wax and small debris. The syringe has a clear glass barrel housed in a polished metal sheath, with open side panels that let you see the liquid level as you draw up and discharge the solution. A ring‑pull plunger and elegant curved nozzle complete the look, giving the instrument real presence in the hand and on display. The glass barrel is held in place by internal rings.

Condition is very good for its age: the glass barrel is clear, the metal retains a bright finish with only light age‑related marks, and the plunger still moves freely, making it an excellent display piece (not tested with liquid). The body is marked “OTO”, using the medical root for “ear”, and the glass carries the original blue maker’s emblem, adding to its authenticity and collector appeal. Offered strictly as a historical / decorative artefact only; it is not suitable for modern medical use.

Ideal for: collectors of antique medical instruments, ENT and otology enthusiasts, steampunk or apothecary‑style interiors, or anyone building a cabinet of curiosities with strong visual impact. If you’d like extra photos of the markings, nozzle or plunger, just send a message and I’ll be happy to provide them.

The syringe measures 20.5cm (8") in length.
