An original 17th century document from 1680 hand written on vellum, an indenture relating to property form Drayton in Hales in Shropshire England.
The document has a scalloped top edge; where more than one copy existed the top edges were cut together so that if verification of originality were needed then the various copies could be overlaid and the top edge match would confirm authenticity or if not, then reveal a fake.
 
The document remains clear and robust as vellum is much more hard wearing than paper. 
 
A treasured collectable or  a magnificent display piece.
 
The document measures  38 x 30cm (14.96" x 11.81"). The document will be supplied folded along the original crease lines.
