A fine example of 18th century English craftsmanship and exceptionally rare - a complete oil and vinegar flask set in its original protective leather case. Dating from the 1700s, this exquisite piece was crafted during the Georgian era when such luxury items were reserved for the finest English households. The glass is thick and well rounded, smooth and tactile with no breaks or chips, with a dimpled design to the faces and foliate relief decor to the flanks.
Complete examples with original cases are exceptionally scarce. Most leather cases were discarded or deteriorated over the centuries, making this a museum-worthy survivor.
