A striking vintage Trocar set from the mid‑20th century, comprising a polished chrome teardrop handle with a full selection of interchangeable trocars and cannulae. Each piece screws securely into the handle with it's sheath and offers a different diameter and tip profile – from large hollow blades for tapping and draining body cavities, to slimmer trocars for evacuating cysts or localised fluid collections in hospital practice. Once inserted the trocar is withdrawn leaving the cannula in place as the drain.

The metalwork has a bright, mirror finish with only light signs of age and use, and all threads run smoothly so the set assembles and displays beautifully. The components stack neatly into the handle for an eye‑catching display that immediately reads as “serious surgery” – ideal for a medical collection, film or theatre prop', steampunk cabinet or curiosity shelf.

Offered strictly as a historical and decorative object only, not suitable for modern medical use.
