An extraordinary "time-capsule" archive for the serious historian or bibliophile. This Victorian Legal Document Case, leather bag, measuring 30 x 24cm, is presented in museum-grade, excellent condition. Crafted from thick, premium English leather with a stunning deep patina, it features the crisp initials "ALJC" stamped on the front, the "JC" is likely to have been for Justice's Clerk in line with the practice at the time.

Rarely seen in such preserved state, the case still contains its original matching leather blotter book.
