A curated collection of three authentic mid-Victorian personal items, offering an enchanting glimpse into 19th-century etiquette, craftsmanship, and daily life.

1. Exquisite Mother of Pearl & Abalone Calling Card Case, the star of the collection is this stunning Victorian calling card case decorated in a geometric diamond-mosaic pattern, it pairs the soft lustre of premium nacre mother-of-pearl with fiercely iridescent fiery green abalone shell. Several central panels are delicately hand-engraved with fine floral sprigs and leaves.

2. Victorian Turned Treen Needle Case, an excellent example of 19th-century treen ware, this cylindrical needle holder is hand-turned from a richly figured, deep amber timber. It features fine roulette-wheel hatched engraving around the midsection and unscrews flawlessly via a precisely cut wooden thread to reveal a clean interior.

3. Turned Wood Case with Armorial Wax Seal, a circular, dark wood protective case which unscrews to reveal a remarkably crisp, preserved striking red wax seal impression. The seal depicts an elegant armorial stag's head crest positioned above the Gothic script initials "G A H".

Condition Report:All three pieces are in lovely antique condition. The card case shows brilliant shell colour with a sturdy structure with only one very small loss at the top of the spine. The treen needle case features a rich, smooth, naturally aged patina and screws together tightly. The wax impression remains sharp, vibrant, and clearly legible. An exceptional trio for collectors of Victorian ephemera, treen, or sewing objects.

The card case measures 10.5 x 8cm (4.13" x 3.15").
