A hand-painted English porcelain teacup and saucer from the late Regency to early Victorian period (circa 1825–1845), the style of handle and foot being typical of the time. The design is in the "Mandarin" or "Chinoiserie" style often called "English Imari." The design features a richly coloured palette with a seated woman, stylised floral motifs, and panels of deep underglaze blue and iron red with gilding—very much in the tradition of Spode, Coalport, Chamberlain Worcester, and other Staffordshire and Worcester factories of that era. The cup stands 5cm high and the saucer diameter is 13.5cm, in good condition with no cracks or repairs.
