Birthing/obstetrical forceps manufactured by the prestigious Chiron-Werke in Tuttlingen, Germany—the world’s historic heart of surgical excellence, these are Simpson type.

Marked 'CHIRON VERCHROMT,' these forceps are crafted from high-grade chrome-plated surgical steel. They feature the classic ergonomic handles and elegant "fenestrated" (open) blades designed for the delicate task of assisted delivery in the mid-20th century.

Presented in excellent antique condition, the chrome remains bright and lustrous. This is a premier example of German medical engineering, ideal for a collector of antique surgical tools, a midwife/OBGYN professional gift, or as a centrepiece for a gallery of medical curiosities.
