An original late 19th-century single-draw telescope. Measuring 60cm when closed and extending to 77.6cm, this handsome instrument features a robust brass body wrapped in aged, textured leather.
The warm patina on the brass and the authentic wear on the leather casing tell a story of years spent in service, making it a perfect display piece for a study, library, or nautical-themed collection. Whether you are a maritime history enthusiast or simply appreciate the craftsmanship of the Victorian era, this telescope serves as a timeless focal point. The lens cap is included, ensuring the piece remains as complete as it is captivating.
The telescope is focussed by shortening or lengthening the single draw tube and works perfectly well. The leather is strong and tight but with some discolouration in a few places from wear but overall a solid, working piece.
