A mother or pearl sewing set or etui, reminiscent of the elegance of the Victorian parlour. Dating to 1893, this set is a masterclass in 19th-century craftsmanship. Most of the  tools feature luminous, hand-carved Mother of Pearl handles paired with precision-engineered polished steel. There cartouche is vacant and tests as silver, but is not hallmarked. The lock opens and closes correctly and securely.

Housed in its original velvet-lined presentation case, this collection includes two pairs of delicate embroidery scissors and five mother of pearl handled implements as well as other items. These sets were the ultimate status symbol for the Victorian lady, combining functional utility with the high-fashion aesthetics of the era.
