Antique glass miniature hip flask, leather wrapped and with a silver plated cup, some light marks to the silver plate. Early 20th century. The leather is in very nice condition, the top screws on and off and there is a cork stopper inside the lid. The cup slides on and off comfortably and there is a ridge in the centre of the glass as the divider between the cup and the leather. This compact size was popular for discrete carrying and represents classic English flask design.
A great example of early 20th century sophistication and craftsmanship this distinguished piece captures the essence of a bygone era when gentlemen carried such refined accessories for discrete refreshment, an essential accompaniment to any outdoor sporting pursuit.
