A beautiful and ornate antique Belle Époque French photo' frame, thick bevelled crystal glass sitting on an ornate gilt metal frame on ball feet under a ribbon & laurel crest. This is a stunning piece in it's own right but as a mount for a treasured photograph it is exceptional. This frame captures the refined aesthetic of France's golden age. Originally designed to showcase precious cabinet photographs and studio portraits, it embodies the sophisticated style that made French decorative arts world-renowned. The frame contains a baby photo' by Gustave Triebels.
 
The frame stands 19.4cm tall, the glass 17 x 11cm and 16 x 10cm inside the bevel. Two minor chips to the rear of the top corners, otherwise in excellent condition.
