Animal book. The Book of Baby Pets lavishly illustrated. The book is large, hardback and printed on heavyweight watercolour paper, the illustrations have been separately printed and hand mounted onto the pages.
 
The text is by Florence Dugdale and illustrated by E.J. Detmold, presumed first edition, no date but hand inscription dated 1915, published by Henry Frowde/Hodder and Stoughton. 19 coloured plates. This is a very good example of this book in large quarto format with pictorial boards and circular plate of a monkey to upper cover, with brown cloth spine and brown lettering to spine. All animals are described by Florence Dugdale and each one is illustrated with wonderful coloured plates by Detmold. The book has a firm binding and the contents, particularly the plates remaining very clean. Some minor marks to cover.
