A silver handled parasol/umbrella hallmarked for London 1917. This is a beautiful and rare piece of early 20th century fashion design, evocative of the lady who would have proudly sported this item as a statement of status and elegance. The handle is solid silver with a delicate floral repoussé design, the handle shaft terminating in a ball for the palm of the hand, it would have been used as a parasol as well as an umbrella. It remains in good functional condition.

The parasol measures 88.5cm (34.84") in length and is 92cm (36") in diameter when open, it retains it's sleeve and it has a wrist loop, possibly a later addition.

A really delightful and rare item.

Antique silver handled umbrella/parasol, 1917. Very rare.
