Shooting Moor & Marsh book from The Badminton Library 1889. The series was originally published in 1885 & 1886 and was a sporting and publishing project conceived and founded by Henry Somerset 8th Duke of Beaufort. It developed into a series of sporting books which aimed to cover all major sports and pastimes. Each volume is written by experts who were considered authorities in their fields. The volume runs to 358 pages.

The book is presented in a uniform publisher's original pictorial cloth binding and is wonderfully illustrated throughout, in reasonable condition, tightly bound and complete and with some discolouration and foxing. The book measures 19.5 x 14.7cm (7.75" x 5.75") and was published by Longmans and Co. Two inscriptions.

This title was authored by Lord Walsingham and Sir Ralph Payne Gallwey and other writers listed on the title page and generously illustrated by a number of artists but notable including John Guille Millais.
