An original legal statute from 1709. The statute is titled "Anno Septomo Annae Reginae" meaning the seventh year of the Queen's reign which in this case refers to Queen Anne who acceded the throne in 1702 and reigned until 1714.
The document is a public declaration of a statute discussed in the British parliament on 8th July 1708 concerning the sewers for the City of London. Printed by Charles Bill "Printers to the Queens most Excellent Majesty" in period script with the text in gothic type, it bears a floral woodblock print and later the Royal Crest.
This is a six page document, two of which are blank, the page size is 31.5 x 20cm (12.5" x 7.87"), the text on all pages remains clean and clear, the pages are loose except for being attached in the top quarter, by length.
