Contemporary chess set handmade by Mexican artisans manufactured from manzanilla and granadillo woods. The pieces follow a geometric and minimalist design, inspired by models produced in Mexico during the 1960s and 1970s. All pieces feature turned conical shapes with differentiated finishes and including pawns topped with a simple spheres, bishops with a pointed finials, rooks with incised cuts, knights with schematic carvings of equine heads, queens with double circular finials, and a stylised king with taller proportions. The board is foldable, made in marquetry from the same woods, with a decorative border of alternating squares and a golden metallic clasp.

Dimensions: King: 5.5 cm / board: 26.2 cm / 3cm squares.
Materials: Manzanilla and granadillo wood, turned and varnished.
Condition: Excellent, no structural damage, minimal marks typical of handmade work.
