An original antique Police lamp, made by Dolan & Co' of London in the 19th century and issued to the Police and also to the Railways. The burner sits behind a convex lens, a small copper knob on the lower right hand side pulls a curved screen around the back of the lens when the light needs to be temporarily shut off. The lamp has wear to the paintwork but is in good working order, it is designed to be hand held using the two 'D' rings to the reverse, the fuel reservoir has brass fitments. The lamp will be drained of flammable fuel before shipment. The lamp stands 15.5cm high.
