A handsome early 20th‑century oak serving tray with riveted copper corner guards and original metal strap handles. The rectangular solid oak base has a shallow gallery around all four sides, showing a warm medium‑brown finish with attractive grain and gentle age wear.

Each corner is protected by a substantial hand‑formed copper wrap, secured with small rivets and now mellowed to a soft, polished patina that contrasts beautifully with the darker timber. The generous metal handles at each end make it ideal for carrying drinks, displaying barware or serving breakfast in style.

Condition is good and fully usable: light scuffs, surface marks and small age‑related dings to wood and metal, but no structural cracks or repairs, slight warp to base. A practical decorative piece that works equally well in a period interior, country kitchen or contemporary home as a characterful bar tray or coffee‑table stand.

The tray measures 45 x 30cm (17.72" x 11.81") excluding the handles.
