An antique Victorian brass Compound Microscope and accessories circa 1890. This is a beautiful English microscope, cased with accessories. The microscope is on on a cast tripod base engraved to the rear of the foot with 'H P AYLWARD 164 Oxford Rd Manchester', there is a plano concave mirror in a gimbal, stage with collar, rack and pinion focus fine screw focus, with 3 objectives by Wray, marked on the cases and in it's original French polished mahogany case with key. There is a tray of slides which sits inside the case sliding into the top section. The case stands 36cm tall.
