An antique syringe in it's original case. The syringe is stamped 'Brady & Martin Newcastle On Tyne'. The syringe is in very good condition and the plunger works smoothly. The case is leather over wood with a velvet lined lid and base, the case is solid but missing the hinges, this item dates from the late 19th century.
Henry Bowman Brady was established in 1855, becoming Brady & Martin in 1879 chemist and surgical instrument makers, at 29 Mosley Street Newcastle.
The syringe measures 22cm (8.75") in length.
