An Articulator is a mechanical device used in dentistry to which casts of the upper and lower teeth are fixed and reproduces recorded positions . An Articulator assists in the fabrication of removable devices such as dentures as well as fixed prosthodontic restorations (crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays)and orthodontic appliances.
Items such as this are becoming increasingly rare as they were made in very small numbers to the highest quality standards as price was not the primary concern, most good examples are now in museum and private collections.
