            An original 18th century colour engraving from 1784, 'Cupid binding Aglaia to a Laurel'. The print is of the work by Angelica Kauffman (1740-1807), and printed by Thomas Burke (1749-1815), there are examples of this print in a number of important collections including the National Trust and The British Museum in the UK and The Detroit Institute of Arts in the US, amongst others. The work is framed and glazed in what appears to be an original plaster and wood frame.

Maria Anna Angelika Kauffmann RA, usually known in English as Angelica Kauffman was a Swiss Neoclassical painter who had a successful career in London and Rome. Kauffmann was a skilled portraitist, landscape and decoration painter. She was, along with Mary Moser, one of two female painters among the founding members of the Royal Academy in London in 1768
